Recce Trip

In January 2022, the 5 leaders of Project Luminaire 10 went to Zambales, Philippines for the first time. Project Luminaire 10 was also the first few OCSP spearheading post covid-19 physical OCSP. It was our first time doing an overseas on-site recce and we were excited yet very nervous about what's to come. Meeting our very welcoming representatives of Liter of Lights after we touched down really helped soothe our nerves as we know we were in good hands. 

Although we were packed full with activities and representing SMU on our shoulders, our teamwork got us through and really helped us plan for our actual trip. Through the recce we were able to better understand the needs of the community (both the school and the residents) which allowed us to make the respective changes.  

We hope that the upcoming leaders of Porject Luminaire 11 will find the recce as enriching as we found ours.
