Feeding Programme

Nourishing Hearts: Our feeding program brings smiles and sustenance to children in Alao Elementary School one meal at a time

Through this program, our dedicated volunteers cooked lunch daily during our stay at the Alao Elementary School, ensuring that the 100+ students receive nourishing meals they may otherwise go without.

Our feeding program at Alao Elementary School demonstrates our commitment to improving the lives of children by addressing food insecurity and ensuring access to nutritious meals. Through the provision of beloved dishes like fried rice, Filipino spaghetti, and chicken adobo, we strive to create an environment where students feel valued, nourished, and motivated to learn.

We understand that food not only fuels the body but also brings joy and a sense of comfort. That's why we have chosen to prepare beloved Filipino dishes that the children cherish and often reserve for special occasions like birthdays and Christmas.

The Importance of the Feeding Program:

In many communities, hunger poses a significant barrier to education and overall well-being. Recognizing this pressing issue, Project Luminaire initiated the feeding program at Alao Elementary School. We firmly believe that no child should attend school on an empty stomach, as hunger affects their concentration, academic performance, and overall development. By providing daily meals, we aim to address immediate nutritional needs and create a conducive environment for learning and growth.

Beyond Meals: Fostering Community and Nurturing Potential

Our feeding program extends beyond providing meals to the students. It serves as a platform for fostering a sense of community and encouraging the development of young minds. Volunteers engage in conversations, play games, and organize educational activities, creating an inclusive and supportive environment. We believe that by nourishing both body and mind, we can inspire these students to reach their full potential and empower them to make a positive impact in their community.
