There was so much to see, hear, and feel throughout Project Luminaire. Despite the physically demanding work of building solar lights, every day was filled with laughter that made every challenge worthwhile. Looking back, it is the people and memories that stand out the most.

One of my biggest takeaways was realising that love and care truly transcend language barriers. Although we could not always communicate through words, the warmth and joy from the children spoke for themselves. Teaching them was incredibly rewarding, and seeing them understand our lessons, participate enthusiastically, and simply enjoy themselves brought me immense happiness.

As part of the logistics team, there were many ups and downs, and we often had to think on our feet and make the best of the resources we had. Working closely with the programme team taught me the importance of cross-department teamwork, adaptability, and resilience. Despite the hard labour, seeing the villagers' smiles and knowing our efforts would make a meaningful difference made every moment worthwhile.

This project pushed me far beyond my comfort zone and gave me a renewed appreciation for service, gratitude, and the impact of working together towards a common purpose.
