Project Luminaire 13 will always hold a special place in my heart, as the experiences I shared with my team and the community in Zambales are truly one of a kind. Throughout the trip, I felt incredibly grateful for the opportunity to connect with the local community and contribute in whatever ways I could.

Being immersed in the community deepened my appreciation for the importance of supporting communities by building on the strengths and resources they already have. Beyond the lessons I learnt, it was the people I met who made this experience extra meaningful.

One of my favourite memories from the trip was definitely spending time with the children! From the very first day we met them, they welcomed us with the biggest smiles, endless energy, and genuine kindness. Their openness and enthusiasm were incredibly heartwarming, and despite the language barrier, playing with them quickly became my favourite part of each day!

The trip was made even more memorable by the amazing team I had. PL13 gave me the opportunity to be part of what I consider my dream team, and watching months of planning, preparation, and teamwork come to life was truly rewarding.

More than just a volunteering trip, PL13 became a journey of growth and friendship that I will always cherish ❤️
