Culture Day

From familiar games to new traditions, Culture Day was our chance to share a little piece of Singapore with the students at Sitio Alao Elementary School. More than just introducing our culture, it became an opportunity to discover the joy of learning from one another.

Through games such as chapteh and red light green light, we watched the students embrace each new experience with curiosity and excitement. In return, their enthusiasm and willingness to participate reminded us that culture is not only found in traditions, but also in the moments we create together.

The day ended with skit and dance performances that reflected different aspects of Singapore’s culture. As the students joined us in dancing, laughing and celebrating alongside us, these performances became more than just a showcase of our culture. It became a moment where we shared joy, created memories and connected with one another.

Looking back, Culture Day was more than just a chance to share where we came from. It was a reminder that some of the strongest connections are built through the simplest moments: a game played together, a song shared, or a dance that everyone joins in.
