I joined Project Luminaire aiming to step out of my comfort zone and create change not only within myself, but also beyond myself. The supportive company of the team, and being able to play with the kids every service day and see the smiles on their faces eased the service days that got tough at times and made my time there feel like a breeze. I hope that our time with the kids, along with the solar lights we installed, serves as a heartfelt reminder to the Zambal community that we believe in them and are cheering them on as they pursue their dreams. Personally, volunteering with Project Luminaire was really meaningful and worthwhile. It made me realise how much I can push myself past my limits when I’m determined to do so, and further instilled in me the importance of giving back to the wider community.
