I was motivated to volunteer because i really believed in what the project stood for, a sustainable way of living with the solar light installations, as well as giving kids access to food, and making education more reachable. I wanted to be part of something that not only brought people together but also made them smile in small, but honest ways. What meant the most to me was the sense of connection with the team, and with the people we were supporting, even the smallest tasks felt like they had meaning. It reminded me that simple acts of care can go a long way. personally, it helped me slow down and realise how fulfilling it is to give, not just time, but genuine intention. I left feeling more connected, fulfilled, and very grateful for what i have.
