Culture Day

Embracing traditions with pride and flair.

Project Luminaire 12 brought Culture Day to Sitio Alao Elementary School, creating a vibrant space for students to explore creativity and cultural appreciation.

The children took part in hands-on activities such as making ketupat and playing traditional games from Singapore's culture, as well as many other cultures, including red light green light from squid game and chapteh. These experiences encouraged curiosity and helped the students connect with different traditions in a fun and engaging way.

We ended the day with a dance performance and skits that shared stories from Singapore’s culture. These performances allowed us to share a piece of our culture with the community, building a deeper connection through storytelling and song.

Culture Day was a meaningful experience for both the students and our team. It strengthened cross-cultural understanding and reminded us of the joy that comes from learning and growing together.
