This project first caught my interest as I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and reach out to a community that cannot be reached in Singapore. I wanted to see with my own eyes the livelihood of those who come from not-so-fortunate backgrounds. As an exco, I wanted to plan an event that leaves an impact on the community and teaches me lessons that I can only learn with such an experience simultaneously. I think I enjoyed seeing everyone's smiling faces as the activities that our team has planned are set in motion the most. Despite many obstacles, seeing everyone having fun made me realise how much happiness contributing to the community brings to me. PL11 was truly an once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I will always treasure the memories that I made during the project.
