Anna Goh

PL11 has been one of my most fulfilling and memorable experiences so far. We impacted the community in so many different ways, from interacting with the children at the elementary school to cooking for the feeding program to digging the holes in the ground for the light installation. I enjoyed teaching the kids the most, seeing their cheerful smiles and playful interactions warmed my heart and made me feel very connected to them. Moreover, cooking under the sun for the feeding program, which served over 100 mouths, was a humbling reminder of the impact we can have on others’ lives through small acts of service. Installing solar street lights in the community not only brought physical light but also a sense of safety and hope to the residents.

PL11 reinforced the importance of community, resilience, and the power of collective effort. It taught me to appreciate the privileges I often take for granted and inspired a stronger commitment to service. The smiles and gratitude of the community members are memories I will cherish forever, motivating me to continue contributing positively to the lives of others.
