Recce Trip

In January 2024, the leaders of Project Luminaire 11 embarked on their inaugural trip to Zambales, Philippines. We revisited the community that Project Luminaire 10 served, Despite initial nerves, meeting the warm representatives of Liter of Lights upon arrival reassured us that we were in capable hands.

Our schedule was packed with activities as we represented SMU, yet our cohesive teamwork guided us through the planning process for our upcoming project. The reconnaissance phase provided invaluable insights into the community's needs, enabling us to tailor our plans accordingly for both the school and its residents.

We are grateful for the meaningful relationships forged during Project Luminaire 10, which have laid a strong foundation for our journey. As we pass the baton to the leaders of Project Luminaire 11, we hope they will find their own reconnaissance experience as enriching as ours.
